In Concord, the busiest hours are Friday and Saturday evenings and any night with a big game, when quoted delivery times can stretch past an hour; ordering before 5 p.m. or picking up yourself avoids the wait. Delivery radiuses are small, often two to five miles, and a minimum order plus a delivery fee is normal, with a tip of a few dollars for the driver on top. Lunch specials such as two slices and a drink, or a personal pie, are the cheapest way to eat at most shops across North Carolina on weekdays. Toppings are priced per item and half-and-half pies are usually free to request. Gluten-free crusts and vegan cheese are increasingly common but often cost a few dollars extra, and cross-contact in a shared oven is standard unless the shop says otherwise.

Concord is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Concord is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Danny's Place is a solid place if what youโre looking for is cheap, quick, decent food. The building itself still feels a lot like the old gas station it used to be, so donโt go in expecting some super nice sit-down restaurant experience. Itโs definitely more of a practical stop-and-go kind of place. Most of the food Iโd describe as average, if not bad, but for the price, itโs hard to complain. The one thing that actually does stand out is the cheesesteak hoagie. Thatโs the item Iโd genuinely recommend getting. Itโs really good. All in all, not a fancy place and not amazing food across the board, but if you want inexpensive, decent food in a hurry, itโs worth trying.

Run down, terrible customer service, and the food was disgusting. I should have known from the appearance on the outside that they don't care about quality of their food or service.

Use to come here when I was younger all the time! The chicken and wedges were amazing! Itโs been awhile since I had stopped so riding by today decided to stop in! Well it will be the last time I decide that! Chicken was awful and the wedges hell they looked fake they tasted fake as well! This place has definitely fell off! Definitely disappointing!

I normally donโt leave reviews, but my experience at this bar was so disappointing that I need to share it. On September 7, 2025, I visited with my legitimate, task-trained mobility service dog (protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act and South Carolinaโs Laylaโs Law). Instead of being welcomed like any other customer, I was told by staff member Diane that my service animal was not allowed in certain areas of the bar and was directed to a segregated section away from the rest of the patrons. This treatment is not only discriminatoryโit is illegal under both federal and state law. Service animals are considered adaptive equipment under the ADA, just like a wheelchair or cane. They are legally permitted in all public areas where customers are normally allowed. Businesses cannot restrict, segregate, or deny access to a person with a service dog. As someone who relies on my service dog for mobility and independence, this was humiliating and unacceptable. People with disabilities should not have to defend their right to be included. I will be filing an ADA Complaint with the U.S. Department of Justice regarding this incident. I also strongly encourage this establishment
